Miniature Pinscher
puppies are a popular choice due to their diminutive
size, distinct personality, intelligence, loyalty,
playful nature and high-energy. Despite their
appearance, Miniature Pinschers are not related to the
Doberman Pinscher. The breed will typically have its
tail docked and quite often the ears are cropped to stand
erect. Even as adults, Miniature Pinschers will top out
at between 10 to 12 inches in height and normally weigh under
10 pounds. Despite the Miniature Pinshcer's small size,
the breed tends to be bold even in the face of much
larger animals. Miniature Pinschers make good apartment
dogs but they can be noisy pets. Training can also be a
challenge as Miniature Pinschers tend to be stubborn.
Because they have so much energy, Miniature Pinschers need
plenty of exercise and playtime. Due to their
short coat Min Pins should not be left in the
cold. However, the short coat allows for easy grooming
and little shedding compared to other breeds. Health
problems include elbow, hip and eye complications and weight
problems if overfed. The following videos illustrate
several examples of Miniature
Pinscher puppies.
