Mastiff puppies quickly
grow into massive guard dogs and loyal, intelligent companions. Male adult Mastiffs can exceed 30
inches in height and 200 pounds. Expect a considerable food
bill. Mastiffs have been used as guarddogs for many years. However, Mastiffs have a far
more gentle temperament than one might assume a dog this size would have. Mastiffs can
actually be somewhat lazy but like any dog need a regular walk. The Mastiff's short coat only needs
occasional brushing and bathing. Mastiffs are known to drool and snore and don't fare as well in warm
weather. Common Mastiff health concerns include bloat (best to provide smaller meals), hip, heart,
back and eye complications. The following videos illustrate several examples of Mastiff
puppies.
