German Shepherd Puppies

German Shephard puppies are one of the most popular choices as they are well-know for their loyalty, intelligence and courage.  Widely used as military and police dogs known for their powerful bite, the German Shephard is also recognized for its protective nature and actually can make a good family companion.  However, they may not be ideal for families with young children.  German Shephard puppies' ears are normally floppy in contrast to the pointed ears of the adult.  Adult German Shephards will grow to between 22 and 26 inches in height.  German Shephards are highly intelligent and fond of physical activity so it is best to give them ample exercise and training.  Ideally they should have a fenced yard to roam in.  Shephards shed profusely and will need frequent grooming.  German Shephard health concerns include hip, elbow, spinal and eye complications as well as blood disorders, epilepsy, bloat and allergies.  The following videos illustrate several examples of German Shephard puppies.
