Doberman Pinscher
puppies are another popular choice as this breed of German
origin is most commonly known as a guard dog.
Doberman Pinschers are incredibly athletic, intelligent and
very loyal. Doberman puppies will need to have their
ears taped for their first couple months so that they will
stand and typically the tail is docked. Adult
Dobermans grow to between 24 and 28 inches in height and weigh
between 60 and 90 pounds. Dobermans need little grooming but
due to their short coat and muscular build, Dobermans are
more susceptible to colder climates. Dobermans are not
necessarily vicious but still may not be the best breed for
families with small children. Doberman Pinschers need
plenty of exercise and training but they are very
trainable. The Doberman Pinscher does have a number of
common health concerns, most notably a condition called wobbler
syndrome (spinal condition), a blood clotting disorder, as well
as hip, heart and weight problems. The
following videos illustrate several examples of Doberman
Pinscher puppies.
